Music News The Magazines That Shaped the Music Industry

Do you know what a chord is? Do you know what an inversion is? How about a flat or sharp? Or a scale? Maybe you know what these things are, but do you know how to apply them to the piano? Can you take these fundamentals and use them to play any song you want by ear? Better yet, can you use them to create your own music?

I really don't need to delve very much into Iron Maiden's influence on rock and metal music. Their stellar career has brought us more than 20 releases, including live albums, videos, studio records and even some documentaries on the band. Coming up with a best Iron Maiden album is a hard task in itself, so trying to make a short list of their best songs is a lot harder. I'm willing to give it a try, but I'll do it by picking what I consider to be the best song of each release. This will include only the studio records, without considering the singles and live albums. Here we go!!

Christina Aguilera Introduces Her Son Max Liron To Boyfriend Matt Rutler

Things have taken a turn for the serious in the burgeoning romantic relationship between Christina Aguilera and her new boyfriend Matthew Rutler. Despite plans to the contrary, I was NOT able to make my way down to San Diego, CA last night to see the amazing Dresden Dolls live in concert. Without going into the details that will likely enrage me again, I ran into a bit of car trouble last night and ended up staying here in LA instead. While I was very bummed that I missed the show, David went out of his way to cheer me up and make me feel better. And, boy, am I ready to say Goodbye to 2010.

For the most part, 2010 was a pretty OK year … there were a lot of good times and many bad times … but any year that you can enjoy from beginning to end is a good one in my book. As always, I’m thankful that I got to spend another year with David. We are going on 5 years together and we have never been better. I’m really looking forward to what 2011 has in store for us as a couple. I’m thankful that I got to spend time with my family & friends here in LA and back home in Detroit and I’m looking forward to more happy times ahead. I’m thankful that I got to spend another year writing this blog and I’m ready to make it bigger and better in the year to come. To be honest tho, I’m just ready to turn the page and jump feet first into a hopeful new year. I hope 2010 was a good one for you and that 2011 will be the BEST YEAR ever!

Amongst the best ways to learn how to sing better or improve your singing, one of the key factors is ridding your larynx of tension. More commonly known as the 'voice box', the larynx is really a small box containing the vocal cords. Composed of cartilage, the larynx is surrounded and supported by muscles.

Read About Lanyards and Its Uses

This article aims to put a theoretical question for readers upon this anachronistic premise. History has a curious way of understanding how human world unfolds. Sometimes humanity cannot help but ask "what if". After all, such a question could very much develop a person's ideals of making his or her world better.

Legends Of The 1970s Slade

The widely successful American folk-rock group Simon & Garfunkel was formed in 1957 by singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Although America's mainstream might say otherwise, folk-rock and "cult concerts," as they're sometimes referred to, have an enormous following, as evidenced by bands like Phish and the Grateful Dead. Simon & Garfunkel still won't be certified by many with the credit they're undoubtedly due, but the mainstream music scene has always been that way; and ever since the band's first attempt at music in the late 1950s, the duo has had to settle for sometimes being misrepresented and even...

Some music-lovers consider an electric guitar as their best friend. They carry it around wherever they go, and would sit on a bench at the park and let the whole afternoon pass them by as they play beautiful songs from their electric guitar. Of course, they would also be bringing their portable amplifier-speakers with them.

How to Put on a Great Event

The appeal of old pewter lies in its unusual shapes and mellow tints and above all in its rarity. At the point of origin antique pewter normally had low value and our ancestors could have had little notion, as they drank their ale from pewter tankards or ate their meals from pewter plate, of the prominence that these household goods would one day acquire or the prices that it might command. Although the metal itself has little intrinsic value - as an alloy of lead and tin with a soupcon of antimony, bismuth or copper - it has grown in...

According to previous reports, Kelsey Grammer has been pushing for a quickie divorce from his wife Camille in order to finally make it down the aisle with his new fiancee, Kayte Walsh. To clear the air and make sure we all have the right information, Kelsey released an official statement confirming the upcoming wedding. He told sources:

"Kayte and I are marrying because we are engaged, and we are engaged because we are in love and see no reason to postpone our happiness any longer. We are planning something we wish to be a private affair among several of our friends. Anything else is conjecture and false. Kayte and I are the only reliable source for this story. End of story."

An unusual award has hit the headlines for rewarding entrants who make the least amount of effort with their art materials. This year's Turnip Prize has been awarded to trio of amateur artists who managed to beat graffiti king Banksy with their work 'Chili n' Minors' which displayed one large green chili next to three smaller chillies on a paper plate. Debutant group Doug Pitt scooped the satirical award of a turnip mounted on a six inch rusty nail at the ceremony which was created twelve years ago in Somerset in response to the 'pretentious' Turner Prize.

Music And Its Influence On Us

Music is something that every one enjoys. It is a very important part of people's lives as some people bring out their emotions through music. There is music every where we just need all we have to do is listen carefully. It is very important to listen a number of musicians ignore this component. I feel music cannot be judged as it is a very thing very personal to an artist. Every person is different and has different ways to express themselves. There are different instruments that are required to express music. There is a lot of peace that people find in music.

Things to Consider When Buying Guitar Amps

It might not have occurred to you, but a lot of the music that you hear being played these days was created with the help of the net. Professionals have started to make beats online with the same frequency as your average Joe. The reason behind this is that it has started to become increasingly evident just how amazing songs sound when the composers decided to make beats online rather than in a studio like everyone else. When you make beats online, you're freeing yourself up to a previously unexplored world of options.

The alcohol on the swipes can easily dissolve these oil-based materials but rapidly evaporates without making its way into the mike element. Behind Cosell’s Announcement of Lennon’s Death – New York Times (blog)

December 6, 2010, 6:37 am By TONI MONKOVIC Thirty years ago this week, on a “Monday Night Football” game involving the Patriots, Howard Cosell announced to the world that John Lennon had been shot and killed. How Cosell learned of the news is a story unto itself, the subject of an ESPN “Outside the Lines” show Sunday. Michael Hiestand, USA Today: ESPN producer Jeff Ausiello says Alan Weiss, a news producer for ABC’s New York station, had a motorcycle accident and was in the hospital Lennon was brought to — “and was plopped down next to him.” Weiss didn’t recognize Lennon, but overheard local police officers identify him — and then heard efforts cease in the room where Lennon was being treated.
